On Sunday, October 7th, we celebrated Ashlynn's "Half Birthday." She helped me bake a "green cake" on Saturday afternoon. We used my great-grandmother's recipe for pistachio pound cake. After it finished baking, we cut the cake in half and packed it up to take to Nona's house for Sunday lunch. We all sang, and Ashlynn blew out the candle. I can't believe she is 3 1/2 now! The time has flown!
