Christmas morning was so much fun at our house this year. My sister Caralee spent the night with us, so Christmas morning we set the alarm and quickly got ready before waking up the kids. Around 7:45, we went to woke up Ashlynn and Eli. After reading the Christmas story together ( a family tradition that goes as far back as I can remember for me!), we told the kids they could go into the living room to see what was there. Boy were they excited! Eli's best word right now is car. He was pleased to see a racecar track and a 'Lil power wheel. He didn't stop saying car for a good while. Ashlynn just kept looking at her things saying "mom, look!" She was excited about her art easel, hello kitty scooter, and board games. They also both got an assortment of playdoh (which has been very fun for both of them). My parents and brother and sister-in-law came for breakfast. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and even had candles for Ashlynn to blow out on a "birthday cake." We opened more presents after breakfast. Gigi and Pepa each packed a sack for each person of our family. In years past, we have still had our presents set out for Christmas morning. Since the family is growing, the usual way of opening gifts was changed a bit. We all enjoyed going through our bags to see what goodies were inside. It was such a fun morning together with family!

The Christmas pictures are great! I'm glad we were all able to spend Christmas morning together this year. I have the funniest expression on my face on the last photo! :)
